I Used to Be An Atheist But I Had To Give it Up. No Holidays!

Hey there! Hope everyone is ok. Sorry I haven't written too much in a while or visited too many blogs. I was sick for a couple of days. Had a high fever and my friends wanted me to go to the hospital but fortunately I got better! I'm off to the wilds of New Jresey in about a half an hour to visit some friends!

See ya soon!

 This is an old joke.....

A girl asks her boyfriend to come over Friday night to meet, and have dinner with her parents. Since this is such a big event, the girl announces to her boyfriend that after dinner, she would like to go out and make love for the first time. The boy is ecstatic, but he has never had sex before, so he takes a trip to the pharmacist to get some condoms. He tells the pharmacist it's his first time and the pharmacist helps the boy for about an hour. He tells the boy everything there is to know about condoms and sex.

At the register, the pharmacist asks the boy how many condoms he'd like to buy, a 3-pack, 10-pack, or family pack. The boy insists on the family pack because he thinks he will be rather busy, it being his first time and all. That night, the boy shows up at the girl's parents house and meets his girlfriend at the door. "Oh, Im so excited for you to meet my parents, come on in!"

The boy goes inside and is taken to the dinner table where the girl's parents are seated. The boy quickly offers to say grace and bows his head. A minute passes, and the boy is still deep in prayer, with his head down. 10 minutes pass, and stll no movement from the boy.

Finally, after 20 minutes with his head down, the girlfriend leans over and whispers to the boyfriend, "I had no idea you were this religious." The boy turns, and whispers back, "I had no idea your father was a pharmacist."

 Depressed?

Gee, according to a study by The World Health Organization and the Harvard Medical School, Americans are the most unhappy people on Earth! The study shows that 9.6 percent of Americans are suffering from depression or bipolar disorder. It was the highest rating among the 14 nations surveyed. Folks were less depressed in Lebanon and Mexico and even in Japan where people never seem to stop working! In fact, war torn poverty stricken Nigeria was the least depressed nation of all! They say one reason might be that when your daily life is a struggle to just survive you don't have time to be depressed. Meahwhile Americans are busy trying to get ahead and not succeeding. Personally I'm depressed just thinking about George Bush and Dick Cheney being in charge of this once great country. Maybe things will get better after the next election but I'm not counting on it!

 Under The (Nice) Weather

Well, I've been sick for a while. Saturday I woke up all achy and sneezing and coughing and I got right back into bed and stayed there practically the whole day. Fortunately my sister was coming for a visit and was with Mom & Dad most of the time so I didn't have to do anything but suffer by myself. I really felt bad though. Sunday I felt a little better. I actually ate out with my family but this was a mistake. I should have stayed in. Didn't feel so great alfter that even though we had a good meal. I would have called in sick on Monday but I knew the guy I worked with was going to be off so I had to go. This wasn't too bad. We weren't very busy and I left at 5 o'clock.

Today I felt much better but decided not to go to work. One more day inside seemed better. Of course it's in the upper '50's today! That figures!

 Dad's Day!

Not much going on here. My Dad celebrated his 89th birthday yesterday!I wanted to take him and my Mom out for dinner but all he wanted was some Chinese take-out from a place (that's very very good however) nearby! Since my sister is coming up this weekend he figured we would eat out twice then so he just wanted a quiet dinner at home. The weather was very cold anyway. A few friends and relatives called to wish him well. A few didn't. There are some shitheads in my family who couldn't care less. They are so wrapped up in themselves that they forget about everyone else until the time comes when they have some "event" and they expect a present. Well,I've got a good memory. There's a lot of elephant in me! I'll remember who remembered and then we'll see who remembered best!
